IFAWC will provide a snapshot of cutting edge research in the application
of wearable computers. To this end original contributions are
sought in relevant areas including (but not limited to):

Activity and context recognition
-
Sensors and sensor networks
-
User interfaces
-
Evaluation methods
-
Specific applications and their evaluation
-
Social aspects
-
Wearable computer systems engineering
-
Middleware, Development tools and methods
-
Integration technologies including textile electronics
-
Industrial case studies
IFAWC will be complemented by a number of scientific demonstrations
and industrial exhibits. Junior researchers are espechially encouraged to
present work-in-progress in the poster session.
The organizers will make available a small number of travel grants
to authors of accepted papers and demonstrations. To apply for a
travel grant, please contact the publicity chair, Michael Lawo, at
mlawo@tzi.de.

The organizing committee of IFAWC 2008 invites authors to submit
original and previously unpublished scientific work. Submission for
full papers (12 pages maximum) or posters (6 pages maximum) should
be submitted electronically through the EDAS submission website in
pdf format by midnight CET on July 1st, 2008. All submissions will be
reviewed by three members of the international program committee.
To submit a proposal for a scientific demonstration, please submit a 2-
page abstract through EDAS, containing a description of the demonstration,
an explanation of its importance to the scientific community and
the requirements for the demonstration (space, power and/or network
connection).
As in the previous years, the proceedings including papers, posters and
demo abstracts will be published at the VDE Verlag..
