Angelo Frascella took the degree in Electronic Engineering at the Polytechnic of Bari. Since 2004 he is a researcher at ENEA. His fields of interest include building, promotion and adaptation of interoperability technologies and standards for B2B applications. He took part to the technical activities of the eBIZ-TCF and CEN/ISSS Texweave projects. Moreover he worked in CROSS (the Center for the technological Innovation and for the technological transfer of interoperability technologies towards networks of enterprises) and now he is participating to the regional laboratory LISEA (Laboratory for Industrial Innovation and Environmental and Energetic Sustainability) of Emilia Romagna. In this activities he has made technological audits about the adoption of eBusiness specifications inside textiles/clothing enterprises and small software producers and produced feasibility studies about enterprise integration in pilot cases of the Emilia-Romagna industries. Later he took part in research project about software tools for industrial energy efficiency and smart grid. From 2015, he is part of the Smart Energy Division and his main research topic is smart city interoperability. He is takikng part in many projects (regionale, nationale and eurpean projects) related to this topic. I recent year he took part at the international collaboration initiative called IES- City and launched by the NIST
